Justin T. Moyers is board certified medical oncologist who joins The Angeles Clinic and Research Institute with an interest in clinical early phase drug development with ultimate translation to head and neck cancers. His clinical and research interests include developmental therapeutics and phase 1 clinical trials along with the use of biomarkers and genomic data for patient selection in multiple tumor types.
He has published in well-regarded cancer and medical publications including Clinical Cancer Research, Cancer Discovery, JAMA Network Open, and Journal of Immunotherapy in Cancer. Dr. Moyers has received accolades for his presentations at the European Society of Medical Oncology, American Association for Cancer Research, and at the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
He recently served as a 2022 ASCO Editorial Fellow for JCO Precision Oncology and currently serves as a mentor for the ASCO Journal's reviewer program and on the editorial board for JCO Precision Oncology.
Dr. Moyers received a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Kansas and subsequently completed medical school at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He performed his residency in internal medicine residency at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center, in Portland, Oregon followed by a fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at Loma Linda University Medical Center in Loma Linda, CA. Finally, he completed a fellowship in the Department of Investigational Cancer Therapeutics (A Phase 1 Program) at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX.
In his free time, he enjoys biking, hiking around the beautiful state of California, photography, and traveling.
