Inderjit Mehmi, MD

Dr. Inderjit Mehmi joined The Angeles Clinic and Research Institute in March 2019 and brought significant clinical expertise and research focus on Cutaneous Malignancies and the utilization of this experience from Immunotherapy to the treatment of breast cancers. During his Medical Oncology and Hematology fellowship, Dr Mehmi gained comprehensive experience in clinical research in melanoma and breast cancer at WVU Cancer Institute of West Virginia University in Morgantown, WV. 

After his undergraduate work at University of California, Davis, he contributrd knowledge and furthered our understanding of a host of cellular pathways involved in origin, metastasis, and progression of cancer while working at Lawrence Berkley National Laboratory. This work has been published and presented in multiple journals including the Journal of Clinical Oncology, PNAS, Oncogene, Cancer Research. He earned his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine and went on to complete his residency at West Virginia University Hospitals and his fellowship in Medical Oncology at Marshall University.

Dr Mehmi continues his work to bring groundbreaking and paradigm shifting treatments through the clinical trials program to patients at The Angeles Clinic and Research Institute.  This work initially focused on Melanoma and other skin cancers (Merkel Cell Carcinoma, Squamous Cell cancer, Basal Cell Cancer). Dr. Mehmi will also bring his basic cancer research experience, clinical breast cancer experience, and immunotherapy clinical research knowledge to our patients diagnosed with breast cancer.
