Artak Labadzhyan, MD

Artak Labadzhyan, MD is an Endocrinologist at The Angeles Clinic and Research Institute. He completed medical school, internship and residency at the University of California Irvine before finishing a fellowship at Cedars-Sinai in 2015. Dr. Labadzhyan’s research focuses on pituitary tumors and disorders; he has also received multiple awards in Endocrinology, Research and Neuroscience

Recently Dr. Labadzhyans focus has grown to include endocrinological disorders related to targeted and immune-oncology therapeutics.  This is a major field of study in relation to newer therapeutics which can lead to thyroid dysfunction , adrenal insufficiency, and pancratic inflammation/diabetes.  Dr. Labadzhyan has worked diligently to identify predictive and prognostic blood tests that would identify risk for these toxicitiesin order to prevent long term complications.  He recently published his research “Endocrine Autoantibodies Determine Immune Checkpoint Inhibitor-induced Endocrinopathy: A Prospective Study” which illuminates the treatment paradigm for these disorders
