Anne Marie Westreich, MS, CGC, is a genetic counselor specializing in cancer genetics at The Angeles Clinic and Research Institute and Cedars-Sinai. Drawing upon her prior career experience in health care communications and patient advocacy, she is passionate about empowering people to improve their lives through health education and support.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of Pennsylvania and completed post-baccalaureate studies at The City University of New York’s Hunter College in biology, chemistry and genetics. She earned her Master of Science in Genetic Counseling from the University of California, Irvine’s School of Medicine, where she completed clinical internships in cancer genetics, general genetics (adult and pediatric) and prenatal/reproductive genetics, as well as a variant interpretation internship with a testing laboratory. Her master’s thesis focused on the utility of genomic medicine approaches for individuals, families and society, and she has contributed to original research and perspectives pieces published in peer-reviewed journals.

Anne Marie is board-certified by the American Board of Genetic Counseling and licensed by the California Department of Public Health. She is a member of the National Society of Genetic Counselors and Southern California Genetic Counselors.
